The Overview
The Building Texas Show—hosted by Justin McKenzie—is an influential platform exploring the intersection of business, governance, and community growth across the Lone Star State. As the show scaled rapidly—featuring high-profile founders, civic leaders, and Texas mayors—it required an elevated, premium brand identity capable of matching its growing influence.
I stepped in as a strategic design partner to lead a comprehensive brand refresh. This included overhauling their web presence, defining a multi-platform podcast identity, creating cohesive YouTube and social media assets, and building out a scalable framework for their ongoing marketing materials.
The Challenge
With content distributed across web, audio platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart), and YouTube, the show’s existing branding lacked visual consistency across touchpoints. The challenge was to create a bold, authoritative visual language that resonated with Texas trailblazers and local leaders, while ensuring the layout remained flexible enough to support fast-paced, weekly content production.
