Newsworthy.ai
AI-powered News Distribution & PR Marketing
Description
Newsworthy.ai is a next-generation news marketing and distribution platform designed for the post-newswire era. Moving beyond traditional syndication, the platform leverages AI and machine learning to give press releases a targeted boost, increasing visibility and engagement. I spearheaded the front-end transformation of the SaaS platform, migrating a legacy Bootstrap/SASS interface to a high-performance Next.js and Tailwind CSS architecture. This refactor significantly improved page load speeds, developer velocity, and the overall user experience for brands looking to amplify their news across a proprietary network of niche industry sites.
Modernizing PR for the AI Age
The Challenge
The original platform was functional but limited by the constraints of a traditional Bootstrap framework. As the backend evolved to include complex AI features—like automated content transformation and niche distribution—the UI needed to become more dynamic, responsive, and maintainable.
The Solution
I led the UI/UX refactor, implementing Next.js for its server-side rendering (SSR) capabilities, which are critical for SEO and the rapid indexing of news content. By adopting Tailwind CSS, I was able to build a highly customized, utility-first design system that reduced CSS bloat and streamlined the dashboard for high-volume users.
The Outcome
The result is a lightning-fast, modern SaaS interface that supports Newsworthy’s mission of "compound discoverability." The platform now seamlessly handles advanced features like AI-driven reporting, branded newsrooms, and the "In-Focus Network" vertical placements, all while maintaining a cohesive, professional aesthetic.
